- 1/2 cup melted chocolate
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 4 cups milk
- 12 to 16 ice cubes (or enough to make it slushy)
- Whipped cream for topping

- Begin by melting the chocolate. You can do this in a microwave by placing the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heating in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Alternatively, use a small pot on low heat, stirring constantly to ensure the chocolate doesn’t burn. Once melted, set it aside to cool for a few minutes.
- In a large blender, add the cooled melted chocolate, cocoa powder, and milk. Ensure the lid is securely in place, then blend on a medium setting until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the ice cubes to the blender. It’s essential to ensure the mixture becomes cold and achieves a slushy texture. Blend on high until you reach the desired consistency.
- Once blended to perfection, carefully pour the frozen hot chocolate mixture into four glasses, dividing it equally.
- Shake your whipped cream canister, then top each glass with a generous dollop of whipped cream. This adds an extra layer of creaminess and makes the drink look even more inviting.
- Serve immediately with a straw or a long spoon. The frozen hot chocolate is best enjoyed while it’s cold and slushy.
