Ingredients List:

  • 1 box of Angel food cake mix
  • 2 packets of Pistachio pudding mix
  • 1 can of Crushed pineapple
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup of Vegetable oil
  • Cool Whip (as needed)
  • A splash of Milk

How to Make Pistachio Pineapple Cake:

1. Prepare the Batter:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the angel food cake mix, one packet of pistachio pudding mix, and the entire can of crushed pineapple (including the juice).
  • Add 3 eggs and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil to the mixture.
  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly until a smooth and consistent batter is formed.

2. Baking the Cake:

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the angel food cake mix box.
  • Grease a standard 9×13 baking dish and pour the batter evenly into it.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

3. Let the Cake Cool:

  • Once the cake is baked to perfection, remove it from the oven.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely in the baking dish. This step is crucial to ensure that the frosting spreads evenly in the next step.

4. Prepare the Pistachio Frosting:

  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine Cool Whip, the second packet of pistachio pudding mix, and a splash of milk.
  • Mix the ingredients until they are well combined and the frosting achieves a smooth texture.

5. Frost and Decorate:

  • Once the cake has cooled completely, spread the pistachio frosting evenly over the top of the cake.
  • You can add additional decorations such as crushed pistachios or cherries if desired.
