Strawberry Christmas Trees

Posted on

Guess what? I’ve been getting super festive in the kitchen and whipped up these adorable Strawberry Christmas Trees! They’re almost too cute to eat… almost. 😉 They’re perfect for holiday parties or just a fun activity with the kids. And the best part? You only need 4 ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup green candy melts
  • Assorted sprinkles for decoration
  • Small star sprinkles for the tree tops

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:
    • Rinse the strawberries and gently pat them dry. Make sure they are completely dry before dipping.
    • Cut off the leafy stem to create a flat base so the strawberries can stand like trees.
  2. Melt the Chocolate and Candy:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
    • In a separate bowl, melt the green candy melts in the same manner until they are fully melted and smooth.
  3. Combine Chocolate and Candy Melts:
    • Mix the melted white chocolate chips with the green candy melts to get a festive green color. Adjust the color as desired by adding more green candy melts.
  4. Dip the Strawberries:
    • Hold a strawberry by the tip and dip it into the green chocolate mixture, ensuring it’s completely covered.
    • Gently tap the strawberry to remove excess coating.
  5. Decorate:
    • Before the coating sets, decorate the strawberries with assorted sprinkles to mimic Christmas lights and baubles.
    • Place a small star sprinkle at the tip of each strawberry to act as the tree topper.
  6. Set:
    • Carefully place the coated and decorated strawberries on a baking sheet lined with wax paper or a silicone mat.
    • Let them set at room temperature or chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes until the coating is firm.
  7. Serve:
    • Once set, arrange your Strawberry Christmas Trees on a platter sprinkled with powdered sugar to resemble snow if desired.
    • Enjoy immediately or keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
